The design brief

An existing totally inadequate theatre is totally reconstructed.
Make the theater more functional and better adapted to all the users: the public, professionals, administrative and technical staff.
Re-plan the hall while maintaining the number of seats.
Entirely reconstruct all the off-stage spaces:

∙ create a larger, more inviting reception hall for the public,

∙ create spacious facilities for the artists: rehearsal and dressing rooms.

The project

The stage and fly over were enlarged and raised to 19 meters in accordance with today’s stage design standards.
The entry and exhibition hall has become a spacious transparent and luminous space.
It gives access to the auditorium from above and below.
The rear of the theater is reserved for professionals and artists: it includes a reception area, a foyer, a large rehearsal space with wide windows unto the neighborhood.
Dressing rooms were created in in an intimate and quiet lower area. The theatre is once again a worthy.
